International Dance Day celebration
29th of April at 12:00 – 13:00 at Balti Jaam square
For International Dance Day on the 29th of April we are inviting like-minded people in the dance field to a joint midday celebration – let’s synchronize our heartbeats and make dance possible for everyone in public space!
From 12:00, during the one-hour event, the Estonian translation of the latest international dance manifesto will be read out loud, and then the dance itself will manifest – your spontaneous performative performances will take place.
We expect performers/performances to perform for up to a few minutes in public space, which will begin at lunchtime on International Dance Day in a smooth flow, focusing on movement and physicality. The performances must be possible without technical aids.
To participate as a performer, fill out this form.
We will contact those who have registered by email with more detailed information at least a week before the event. The event will take place at Jaama Square next to Balti Jaam, exact location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/v8fnu15UwnysfhR3A
We will only use the contact information collected in this form to send information within the framework of this campaign.
The dance day will start at 10:00 with the traditional dance day breakfast and award ceremony in the Kanuti Gildi Hall
