Previous movement experience is not necessary.

During the workshop, the participants will be able to try out firsthand the working methods of the performance “How the Land Lies”.
Laura Cemin and Bianca Hisse used a task-based approach to develop the choreography of How the Land Lies, suggesting images and words to the performers who explored them through improvisation and discussion.This method is part of Laura Cemin and Bianca Hisse’s collaborative practice, which they have been developing over the past 2 years.
We will examine the power of words and different languages to influence the way we move, both on the scale of the individual and on the macro-scale of societal choreographic protocols. We focus on working with trajectories – for example hiding, crawling, sliding, climbing are only a few examples to describe the various ways of crossing a border.
