Choreographybook
“Koreograafiaraamat” is the first collection of interviews in Estonia 14 Estonian choreographers published by Sõltumatu Tantsu Lava in autumn 2019 and compiled by Marie Pullerits.
The Choreography Book reveals who choreographers see themselves as. How and with what does a dance artist work with, what are their working tools, how do they want to reach the audience? How do dance artists work outside the production projects, what is their practice and conceptual ground from which to enter into a dialogue with the audience?
Interviews for the “Choreography Book” have been given by: Raho Aadla, Joanna Kalm, Mart Kangro, Renate Keerd, Mari Mägi, Tiina Mölder, Tiina Ollesk and Renee Nõmmik, Külli Roosna, Karl Saks, Kadri Sirel, Ruslan Stepanov, Maarja Tõnisson, Liis Vares
The publication of the book is supported by the Performing Arts Endowment of the Estonian Cultural Capital
The presentation of the “Choreography Book” took place at the opening of the 2019/2020 season of the Independent Dance Stage on September 4 at 19:00 and on September 11 at 15:00 at the Drama Festival in Tartu, in the lobby of the B-entrance of ERM.
