The dance performance “Between Dreams and Drowning” by Ursel Tilk and Steffi Pähn will be staged in collaboration between Paide Theater and Sõltumatu Tantsu Lava
The lover will always remain “obscene”. He makes a fool of himself, humiliates and ridicules by yelling “I Love You” – a message that contains nothing but himself. It’s like a mantra, a ritual whose sole purpose is to justify the lover’s self-humiliation. Like in an actress nightmare: stand in limelight with not remembering the text, mise en scene or own role, the helpless big animal hemming and hawing stupidly in the middle of the cage.
