Sõltumatu Tantsu Lava (STL, Independent Dance Stage) is a dance performance and development center. STL’s vision is to focus on contemporary dance art in its various forms of expression. In addition to performances, STL organizes movement workshops, creative residencies, lectures, Dance Marathon, PREMIERE platform for emerging dance artists, artists’ short forms evening Greenfield, the Baltic Dance Platform and many others.
The Independent Dance Association (Sõltumatu Tantsu Ühendus, STÜ) is a dance art development organization established in 2005, which supports the creative and performance activities of freelance dance artists and creative troupes by providing artistic activity output, development opportunities and administrative support for artists who meet the goals and visions of STÜ.
The performance hall of Sõltumatu Tantsu Lava was constructed keeping in mind the creative needs of dance artists (open floor area of 11×14 meters, soft wooden parquet floor, clean and warm space, daylight possibilities, modern hygiene conditions, stage equipment and audience area). We are located at Telliskivi 60a/9, entrance from the backside of the building.
